In about 40-50 minutes you will drive from Moshi town to the village Marangu where you can see its beautiful waterfalls at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro.After a hike to the waterfalls, during which you can see many different bird species, you can take a refreshing bath in the pool at the bottom of these beautiful waterfalls. After the waterfalls, your guide will take you to the Chagga caves. These caves were built in the past by the Chagga tribe to keep themselves safe from the Masai who, in earlier times, migrated up the lower slopes of Mt.Kilimanjaro to enslave or kill the Chagga tribe members. You will also be shown around the Chagga Live Museum, an outdoor space which will give you more insight into traditional Chagga life.

Waterfall 😍 It was an amazing experience 😍 Professional team and great company. The hiking tour is approximately 2*2.5km, but it is worth it at the end. I recommend it.

Gran experiencia 6 dias de safari Contacte con Moana gracias a una amiga que me los recomendo. Hicimos un safari de 6 dias con ellos, luego escogimos un tour de un dia para visitar la cascada de waterumi y una ruta del cafe, y en zanzibar tambien hicimos un tour con ellos de un dia. La verdad que la compañía fue estupenda, el personal es muy atento y amigable, nos trataron genial, nos explicaron todo. Hasta nos acompañaron a hacer gestiones (para tener internet en el mv y cambiar dinero en el banco) La verdad que los recomiendo 100%. Fue toda una experiencia!

Two thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻 I just climbed Kilimanjaro with Moana team, it was an unforgettable experience. The team was very helpful from start to finish: they answered all our questions about the trip prior to booking with them, they escorted us the whole time while in Moshi with all sorts of last minute errands and needs, the team who went up with us was attentive and prepared. Very good experience with them. Plus, part of the funds for the trip are used to support a Moshi education NGO of the same founder.

Felling in love with Tanzania and Moana It was the first time me and my family went to Tanzania. Thanks to my sister, who had already visted Tanzania multiple times, we booked a three day Safari Trip with Moana. I can not express how much I loved this experience and the Moana Team. We immediatly felt part of the Moana family and were treated in the best way possible. Everyone in the Moana team including Gea (CEO), Caroline, Geewa en our tourgide Ebenezer made our experience with Moana and Tanzania incredible. Good combination between culture and relaxing Zanzibar was a great combination between culture and relaxation. On the first day we did the Stonetown Tour. The tour was great, our tour guide told us all about the history of Zanzibar and especially the slavery museum made a real impact on us. On the second day we went on the Blue Safari tour and explored the Zanzibar Archipel by boat. It was a good combination of beautiful white beaches, swimming and great food. The other days we relaxed at the amazing resort that Moana recommended to us. We had a great time.

Beautiful landscape and lots of fun We had a great time with Moana at Lake Chala. We hiked around the lake through beautiful and diverse landscapes. Along the way we passed viewpoints that offered a good view on the lake. We closed the day off with kayaking and even crossed the border to Kenya. Our Moana tour guide made sure everything was arranged well and we had a lot of fun together during the day. I would recommend this trip.

Hidden Gem We had a great trip to Chemka Hot Springs. Chemka hot springs is a real hidden gem. In the middle of a dry area, Chemka Hot Springs is like an oasis. It was beautiful to see and very nice to hang out and swim there. Gea drove us to the Hot Springs and made sure everything was arranged well. We really recommend this trip.

Amazing experience Really loved the safari with Moana Tanzania. The parks Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro were all very beautiful and unique in their own way. Gea made sure everything did go as planned. We had a great time with amazing people. Thanks so much!

Mountainbiking to the chemka hotsprings We went with mountainbikes to the hotsprings. There were several very friendly guides that accompanied us. The hotsprings were beautiful but the journey on the bikes was even more unique. Biking through the African nature and villages with mt Kilimanjaro in the background was an amazing experience. Make sure you don’t stay in the pool too late because you definitely want to be back before dark!
