The Masai are an indigenous ethnic group of semi-nomadic people. Most of the Masai still have a very traditional lifestyle. Their cattle is their primary source of food, they dress themselves with cloth wrapped around their body and they use traditional medicine to cure themselves.
During your time in Tanzania it is recommended to visit an authentic Masai village to get to know this tribe and its traditions. The Masai will show you around their village and their houses, they will show you their cattle and you will get a chance to see and possibly buy beautiful crafts made by the Maasai women.
