Moshi to Chemka Hot spring
The starting point of this bike tour to the Materuni waterfalls will be at the Moana Tanzania office in Moshi town. We will pass through the tarmac road to the Tanzania Sugar Cane Plantation (TPC). You will bike through the beautiful sugar cane plantations and you will pass through the Tanzanian countryside on your way to the hot springs. The ride through the countryside will be bumpy but the views of Mt. Kilimanjaro make it worth the journey. As we pass through some villages, you can meet some of the locals and see their plantations of bananas, rice and onions. You will also pass a beautiful Baobab tree along the way.
After arrival at the hot springs, it is time to enjoy this beautiful natural swimming spot. The underground Chemka springs provide for crystal clear water. The springs are surrounded by the roots of fig trees, which makes this place a hidden paradise. Although called hot springs, the water is not hot but rather pleasantly warm. Don’ t forget your swimsuit!
