Explore the natural wonders of Jozani–Chwaka Bay National Park, a protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the only national park in Zanzibar. Located in the heart of the island’s lush south, this enchanting forest is home to one of Zanzibar’s greatest treasures — the rare and charismatic red colobus monkeys, found nowhere else on Earth.
As you wander along shaded forest paths, you may also encounter other playful monkey species, vibrant butterflies, and a variety of colorful birdlife. Your guide will then take you to the nearby Jozani mangrove boardwalk, where you’ll discover how these unique tidal forests support and protect Zanzibar’s fragile ecosystem.
A visit to Jozani is a journey into the island’s wild side — peaceful, scenic, and full of life.
