Mt. Meru is an active (but dormant) volcano that is located near the town Arusha. It’s peak is 4,566 metres high and that makes Mt. Meru the second highest mountain of Tanzania. The mountain is located in Arusha National Park and during the climb to the peak of Mt. Meru you have an amazing view of the wildlife that Arusha National Park has to offer. This means that you have a chance to see elephants, giraffes, zebra’s and many more animals.
