The Masaai are an indigenous ethnic group of semi-nomadic people. Most of the Masaai still live in a very traditional way. Their cattle is their primary source of food, they dress themselves with cloth wrapped around their body and they use traditional medicine to cure themselves.
During your time in Tanzania it is recommended to visit an authentic Masaai village to get to know this tribe and its traditions. The Masaai will show you around their village and around their houses, they will show you their cattle and you will get a chance to see and possibly buy beautiful crafts made by the Masaai women. The Masaai will also dance their traditional dances with you and show you how they make fires.
